This is something you have not yet seen in any US media. French independent media La Télé Libre interviews two of the most prominent 9/11 truth activists, Cynthia McKinney and Niels Harrit. To understand the context of the interview, you need to know what is happening in France right now, because 9/11 is surely becoming a hot topic.

A year ago, French comedian Jean-Marie Bigard publicly questionned the official 9/11 story on a popular TV show and said a new investigation is needed. That was enough for him to be called a revisionist by a myriad of journalists and he even received many death threats along the way. Nine months later, Bigard came back on the topic, but this time he went as far as creating 11 videos in which he uses humor to ask questions about disturbing elements of the 9/11 Commission report. He is invited on several TV shows to talk about this and each time he gets vilified by journalists.

Recently, actor and director Mathieu Kassovitz also questioned the foundations of the official version of 9/11 in another TV show. He got the same treatment from the French press.

Both Mathieu Kassovitz and Jean-Marie Bigard will debate this hot topic on France 2 this October 28th (we will post a video of this show as soon as we receive it). Originally, France 2 was supposed to air a debate including two other people who also question the official story: Éric Laurent and Niels Harrit. A few days before the debate, France 2 announces that Harrit and Laurent are excluded from the debate.

One important question remains and journalists from La Télé Libre ask it: in a free society, can we question the official version of 9/11?

Eight years after the attacks that devastated the American soil, having doubts is still scandalous. As more and more people around the world challenge the the official story of this event, the public expression of doubts is now sacrilegious. Depending on the social rank that you will occupy, it will be worth, at best, chuckles by some ignorant people, or at worst, the adversity of opponents determined to avoid a debate on the subject.

Both an audiovisual laboratory and an opposing force, La Télé Libre, to the contrary, is openly inscribed in this question: for two years they have met some of those who offer a different point of view on 9/11. Whether it is theorists convinced of a military-industrial complex plot like Webster Tarpley, journalists who somehow or other try to stand up for the the government’s version like Guillaume Dasquiné, Web 2.0 activists of ReOpen911.info, the architect and speaker Richard Gage, AIA, or artists expressing their doubts like Mathieu Kassovitz, all reflect a growing interrogation in the public opinion regarding the traditional narrative of the 9/11 attacks.

9/11 coming out

Recently, in Paris, a conference entitled Vers la vérité was organized by those who, coming from different horizons, share the same goal: a new 9/11 investigation. For 3 days, and particularly during a special evening in which a screening of the 9/11 documentary Zero: An investigation into 9/11 took place, simple citizens had the chance to meet with political, scientific and artistic figures. We went for an interview with two of them who both testify in their area of expertise, of an overt will to engage into alerting citizens on the official version anomalies and discrepancies.

Former US Congresswoman, representative with the Democratic Party for twelve years and candidate in the 2008 Presidential elections with the Green Party, Cynthia McKinney, a dissent figure by excellence of the political life in the US, talks with us about the importance of understanding the whole story of the Bush administration to better grasp the nature of 9/11.

On her side, creating an iconoclast duo, Danish scientist Niels Harrit, also told us about his downright rejection of the official version, and more precisely of the NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology, a government agency mandated to study the collapse of the towers), going as far as detailing evidence  that, in his opinion, allow to declare that the 3 towers — and not 2 — that collapsed on 9/11 in New York City were knowingly part of a premeditated controlled-demolition.

This chemist was recently in the news for having co-authored a controversial study asserting the presence of explosive substances in the dust of the World Trade Center (nanothermite). The man that we had the opportunity to interview lengthily is definitely the one by which scandals happen: recently announced to be part of the Guillaume Durand’s TV show on France 2 on Wednesday October 28, to discuss the topic with opponents, the scientist was unexpectedly asked to stay home in Copenhagen, his presence being judged inconvenient…

NASA Engineer to Speak on Destruction of WTC Buildings
Encinitas resident a leader among 900 architects and engineers

San Diego - On Wednesday, October 21, 2009, former NASA engineering executive Dwain Deets, will speak on behalf of more than 900 architects and engineers who cite evidence of explosive demolition at all three World Trade Center high-rises on 9/11 and are calling for a new, independent investigation into their destruction.

Mr. Deets’ multimedia presentation will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the Joan B. Kroc Institute for Peace and Justice, on the campus of University of San Diego, 5998 Alcalá Park, San Diego, CA 92110. The event will conclude at 3:00 p.m.

An engineer with NASA Dryden Flight Research Center for more than 37 years, Mr. Deets is a board member and the writing team leader for Architects & Engineers for 9/11 Truth (AE911Truth). Comprised of more than 900 architects and engineers listed on their website at AE911Truth.org, the organization contends that the official FEMA and NIST reports fail, for several reasons, to explain correctly the towers’ destruction. AE911Truth points in particular to the destruction of the third high-rise, World Trade Center 7, which was not hit by a plane but came down in less than seven seconds. These 900 architects and engineers have signed a petition calling for a new investigation.

Mr. Deets will include in his presentation an abridged version of 9/11: Blueprint for Truth, featuring Richard Gage, AIA, a San Francisco Bay area architect of 20 years, the founder and CEO of AE911Truth, and a member of the American Institute of Architects.

The organization’s conclusions are shared by hundreds of scientists; senior-level military, intelligence, and government officials; firefighters; pilots and aviation professionals; scholars and university professors; 9/11 survivors and family members; and media professionals around the world.

In 1986, Mr. Deets was awarded the Wright Brothers Lectureship in Aeronautics by the American Institute for Aeronautics and Astronautics. He became aware of the many problems with the official reports concerning 9/11, and began speaking publicly on this topic in 2007. He and his wife have been residents of Encinitas for the past six years.

Around eighty thousand campaigners have called for a referendum on a new investigation into the tragedy, but America's Supreme Court has ruled it out.

Long before the Nobel Peace Prize was debased and trivialised into an episode of American Idol, the failure beneath the soaring rhetoric of Barack Obama had been exposed. Even the secretary of the Nobel committee sheepishly admitted on Friday: ''Nominations for the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize closed just 11 days after he [Obama] took office.''

Since then, the US President has knowingly propped up a corrupt and violent regime in Afghanistan led by a lying fraud. He has achieved nothing to prevent the continued building of Israeli settlements on the Palestinian West Bank. To hand the Nobel prize to someone whose credentials are in the potential rather than the execution confirms that the prize has degenerated into a beauty pageant.

Three times in the past eight years the starry-eyed progressives who run the prize have given it to leaders of the US Democratic Party - Jimmy Carter, Al Gore and now Obama. One of them, Carter, actively sowed the seeds of what would become a global jihad.

Why is it that US governments continue to support corrupt, violent and dysfunctional regimes? The Obama Administration has locked straight into this pattern. Young American soldiers are again being asked to fight and die for a duplicitous foreign leader. You can throw in Kevin Rudd, who has committed Australian troops to fight in the pointless cause of preserving the Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, and his warlord allies.

A flaming arrow through the front door of this pretence arrived on September 28, courtesy of George Packer, of The New Yorker, who accompanied the US special envoy to Afghanistan, Richard Holbrooke, on a recent trip to Afghanistan. Packer's reporting, with its high-level access, made a mockery of the charade of democracy in Afghanistan.

''Every time an Afghan encountered the government, he was hurt by it - abused, asked for a bribe, hauled off to jail without evidence,'' Packer wrote. Worse, he came to believe the Karzai regime was not even interested in providing services to the people, let alone that it could do so.

He was also present at a meeting between Holbrooke and Karzai, and his portrait is disturbing: ''[Holbrooke:] 'Wherever our troops have driven out the Taliban in Helmand over the last few weeks, there has been no effort to bring in administrative structures of your government.'

'''Has this been done in co-ordination with our government?' Karzai asked, chewing nervously, his eyes shifting everywhere except to Holbrooke's face.''

Packer concluded: ''The election of August 20th was a disaster that could change the course of the war. The evidence of fraud was so overwhelming that it threatens to render the entire vote illegitimate … Holbrooke must know that there will be no American victory in this war; he can only try to forestall potential disaster.''

Within days of this public assessment the former United Nations official responsible for elections in Afghanistan, Peter Galbraith, exposed the lying that went all the way to the UN Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon. Writing in The Washington Post eight days ago, Galbraith said: ''Afghanistan's presidential election, held August 20, should have been a milestone in the country's transition from 30 years of war to stability and democracy. Instead, it was just the opposite. As many as 30 per cent of Karzai's votes were fraudulent, and lesser fraud was committed on behalf of other candidates … The fraud has handed the Taliban its greatest strategic victory in eight years of fighting the United States and its Afghan partners … I was ordered not to pursue the issue of fraud …''

As the disastrous truth continued to seep out, despite the efforts of the UN and the silence of the Obama Administration, more details of fraud were made public last week. All of this was consistent with a warning delivered in Sydney this year by the bravest woman in Afghanistan, Malalai Joya.

She had set up an orphanage and a health centre before becoming the youngest person elected to the Afghan parliament. But in 2006, after describing the parliament as a sanctuary for ''warlords and theocrats'' and a ''zoo'' she was thrown out of office, threatened with death, abandoned by the government, and has survived two assassination attempts.

''Your government is supporting a corrupt, mafia-ridden, criminal state,'' she told me in June.

''The warlords are the sworn enemies of democracy, women's rights and justice. The Australian troops are really guarding US strategic and military interests, not the Afghan people … We are living under jungle law.''

She predicted a corrupt election and was proved right, while Washington and Canberra remain silent and complicit. All of which makes a mockery of the Nobel award citation on Friday: ''The Norwegian Nobel Committee has decided that the Nobel Peace Prize for 2009 is to be awarded to President Barack Obama for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and co-operation between peoples …

''Obama has as president created a new climate in international politics. Multilateral diplomacy has regained a central position, with emphasis on the role that the United Nations and other international institutions can play. Dialogue and negotiations are preferred as instruments for resolving even the most difficult international conflicts … Only very rarely has a person to the same extent as Obama captured the world's attention and given its people hope for a better future.''

None of us would hope for anything else.

The person most responsible for the Nobel committee's sycophancy is the chairman of the five-member committee, Thorbjoern Jagland, 58, a former prime minister of Norway with a long history of left-wing politics. Now he can meet his political hero. The juxtaposition of white-tie glamour and real-world squalor surpasses irony.

I can't sing for shit but thanks to the magic of computers that's not a problem. I wanted to get my friend who can sing to do it but she didn't want to. The vocals were manually tuned note by note using Melodyne Studio and Adobe Audition - A process that took two days! I'm not a very good sound editor so the audio isn't perfectly mastered but it's as good as I could get it.

Once Again, The Will of the Voters Is Denied

Yesterday afternoon, Justice Edward Lehner of the State Supreme Court rubberstamped Referee Louis Crespo’s recommendation that the decision to establish a local commission to investigate the events of September 11th not be put before the voters on November 3rd.

After showing interest in weighing both sides’ arguments in the hearing, the Judge’s short decision gives no indication of having considered the arguments put forth in the Petitioners’ memorandum of law, nor any acknowledgement of the need for a new investigation, which the City of New York callously dismissed as “irrelevant”.

On a dark day for democracy, the patriotic call for answers by hundreds of 9/11 families, first responders and survivors has been stifled, and the will of the people of New York City once again denied.

Judge Lehner ruled that modifying the petition to make it “legally permissible” would result in it being “inconsistent with the law sought by the signatories of the Petition” despite the fact that all 80,000 signatories agreed by signing the Petition that “If any provision of this law is held to be unconstitutional or invalid for any reason, the remaining provisions shall be in no manner affected thereby but shall remain in full force and effect.”

The deadline for inclusion on the ballot falls just before the election, making it possible to appeal Judge Lehner’s decision. NYC CAN is weighing all options and will make an announcement early next week on this issue, as well as on how it will be moving forward on other fronts. Regardless of the outcome in court, the quest for answers continues full throttle.

This fight is only the beginning.

Today it is my pleasure to talk to Craig Ranke of the Citizen Investigation Team, a two man operation which has been investigating the Pentagon attack for several years now. Their latest production is a film titled "National Security Alert".

The central thesis of the film is that the flight path of the plane believed to have struck the Pentagon was to the north of the Citgo gas station, making it impossible for the plane to have downed several light poles as claimed in the official report. The film further asserts that the plane executed a flyover which was synchronised with an explosion within the building.

Craig's work has sparked considerable division and acrimony in the 9/11 research community and accusations of deliberate disinformation have been levelled. We present some critical analysis below:

In tonight's program we continue our investigation of the Schapelle Corby case, which we began in an earlier podcast.

I have as my guest Schapelle's uncle, Shun Hatton, who joins us from Darwin.

Tonight we examine in depth evidence which suggests that mainstream media organisations engaged in a deliberate campaign to discredit Schapelle and her family, and we present the startling revelation that this campaign of vilification was orchestrated at the highest levels of government, with active collusion from Australia's public broadcaster the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC).

In particular we focus on the allegations made by investigative reporter John Stewart, in a Lateline program aired on 4 July 2008, which asserts that Schapelle's father was involved in the drug trade. When originally broadcast these assertions were offered as "facts".

The ABC later acknowledged that they "should have made it clear that these were allegations, not facts", however this retraction did little to reverse the massive effect on public opinion caused by the original program.

Today marks the fifth anniversary of Schapelle's incarceration in Bali. Her health is deteriorating rapidly. Clearly there is more than enough "reasonable doubt" in this case to warrant major diplomatic efforts to have Schapelle returned to Australia. Instead we have seen a carefully crafted campaign to turn public opinion against her - and the only plausible reason for this is political expediency.

We all suffer as a result of this assault on our democracy and human rights.
