Tonight we look at the crisis in the Australian government, more media disinformation on climate change and more disturbing information regarding the Anti Counterfeiting Trade Agreement (ACTA).

Earlier today I wrote this:

Thomson's resignation from the ALP is purely for show, and has no bearing on his tenure as member for Dobell, or on how he will vote in Parliament. It is a further insult to the very concept of democracy that a sitting MP can play with his role in such a manner. This is a fraud against the Australian people.

If we believe in democracy at all, we must be prepared to take action to ensure restoration of the basic values of a free society, otherwise we will only slip deeper into tyranny. The government, according to current polls, enjoys a 29% popularity rating. They don't have a mandate to govern.

Also in the show we bring you some snippets from the ABC Q&A propaganda piece "I Can Change Your Mind About Climate Change", and we attempt to debunk some of the misinformation in that program.

Dr. David Evans, who was featured (and misrepresented) in the ABC program, has today released 2 videos which present his views in a very clear and engaging form. We present these below:

In the final half hour of the show my guest is Rochelle Macredie, who reveals more facts about ACTA and urges us to take action.

NOTE: Some of today's show was recorded on 29 April, but the first hour and the interview with Rochelle Macredie was recorded on 26 April.

PM moves on Thomson and Slipper, saying a 'line has been crossed'

Whether or not you believe in our representative democracy, I hope you can see that we need an election now, and that, if this occurs (as it should from the numbers against the government and the scandals over MPs), Abbott must uphold his promise of fully repealing the carbon tax, on pain of creating an even greater popular backlash than we are seeing now.

A scientific study on the effects of terahertz radiation (used in some body scanner imaging systems).

ABSTRACT

We consider the influence of a terahertz field on the breathing dynamics of double-stranded DNA. We model the spontaneous formation of spatially localized openings of a damped and driven DNA chain, and find that linear instabilities lead to dynamic dimerization, while true local strand separations require a threshold amplitude mechanism. Based on our results we argue that a specific terahertz radiation exposure may significantly affect the natural dynamics of DNA, and thereby influence intricate molecular processes involved in gene expression and DNA replication.

Sweaty armpits could trigger airport scanners

FULL-BODY scanners being introduced at Australia's eight international airports could be triggered by sweaty armpits and a passenger's posture, a counter-terrorism unit has warned.

In German trials of the body-scanning technology, false alarms were recorded and sweaty armpits were among the culprits, slowing down departure lanes, according to Tasmania's Department of Police and Emergency Management.

"There are already long delays at airports, so this issue needs to be addressed," the unit says in a submission to a Senate committee inquiring into the millimetre-wave body scanners.

Germany ditched the scanners after too many false alarms but they are in use in some parts of Europe and the US.

The Australian Airline Pilots Association has raised similar concerns about the potential for false positives and has said it wants screening with the machines to be voluntary.

A spokeswoman for Infrastructure and Transport Minister Anthony Albanese defended the technology.

Are airport body scanners safe? Radiation expert Dr. John Moulder to give lecture

An expert in the health risks of human exposure to radiation will speak at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) about airport whole-body scanners on May 4.

Hosted by the UWM Department of Physics, Dr. John Moulder of the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) will address the considerable public concern about possible health effects posed by the backscatter X-ray and millimeter-wave radar whole-body scanners that are used at many airports.

The free event begins at 8 p.m. in the Physics building, 1900 E. Kenwood Blvd., room 137.

As the summer travel season begins, Dr. Moulder will discuss the research showing that these scanners pose only negligible radiation risks if used as intended. However, he will also outline the difficulty in proving their safety using publicly accessible data that shields information on the machinery’s specifications and methods of measurement.

He makes the argument that more openness is needed, as is independent review and regulation. Publicly accessible, and preferably peer-reviewed, evidence is needed that the units (not just the prototypes) meet widely accepted safety standards.

Moulder is professor and director of radiation biology at MCW, and holds two advanced degrees from Yale University. There will be time for discussion and questions after the presentation.

TARGET has a new employee - a 3D body scanner - charged with making sure clothes fit better.

TARGET body scanner

The national retailer is spending $1 million on the technology that will measure the dimensions of 20,000 men and women as part of a national survey to update their designs.

Perth shoppers will be able step into the scanner from May 25 to 29 in the company's Whitfords store.

Target managing director Dene Rogers said customers were frustrated and confused by inconsistent sizing. It was the main reason clothes were returned.

"By taking 60 seconds to come and be scanned consumers will not only find out their exact measurements, they'll be helping Target find out what size Australians really are today so that we can make clothes that really fit," Mr Rogers said.

Stefan MolyneuxThroughout the last century, it has been estimated that governments around the world have been responsible for approximately 250 million murders. On the contrary, it is estimated that only nine million non-governmental, or domestic cases of homicide, have been perpetrated within the same time frame. Why should we trust such potentially hazardous and harmful institutions?

Today Josh Jackson discusses this with Stefan Molyneux from freedomainradio.com, who says that we shouldn’t trust such institutions.

We also discuss how society functions without a government at all. How will we police the masses? How will our road networks and overall infrastructure be maintained? How will private law function? We discuss all of this and more.

At the end of the show, Josh talks to Emily Chesher from thebeautyplan.com about inflamation and how to avoid and overcome it naturally through dietary and other techniques.

In the first hour of today's show we bring you some analysis of recent news in Australia on the subject of climate change and the impending carbon tax, as well as an excerpt from a mini documentary which explores some of the internal frictions which caused the occupy movement in Brisbane to splinter and lose momentum.

In the second hour we bring you 2 original interviews conducted on Sydney's Skid Row Radio. The first interview documents harrassment, interference and criminal conduct of a major Australian Bank. The second interview documents harrassment and intimidation by a large supermarket chain towards children who are accused (but not charged) with attempted shop lifting (despite the complete absence of any evidence which would justify the accusation).

I hope you enjoy today's broadcast!

MemeOn today's show we bring you analysis and commentary on a number of hot topics in Australian news at the moment.

We look at the embattled MP Craig Thompson, who, despite manifest evidence of fraud and criminal conduct,  is being propped up by a Labor government desperate to hold on to the reigns of power.

We look at new revelations in the Schapelle Corby case which provide yet more evidence that the Australian government knew that the marijuana found in Schapelle's luggage was part of a well established drug trafficking syndicate involving corrupt baggage handlers, customs officials and police.

In the second hour I am joined by Josh Jackson as we look at ways in which we can become self-empowered. Josh steps us through some practical things we can do to free ourselves from the chains of inhibition and societal conditioning. We also look at the concept of "memes" as both inhibitors and motivators,  and how we may be able to create new psychological memes to help us move into a state of empowerment in our lives.

A great show!

Blind Watchmaker

Today's show contains 2 excellent interviews and audio clips from a recent anti-war protest held in Sydney.

In the first half of today’s show we bring you an interview with Chris Emery and Holland Van den Nieuwenhof discussing their stunning film A Noble Lie, which exposes the cover-up and government complicity in the 1995 Oklahoma bombing.

The second hour guest is Craig Isherwood, Secretary of the Citizens Electoral Council, a political party in Australia with links to Lyndon La Rouche. Craig presents an in depth critique of Darwinian evolution, and illustrates the connection between Darwin’s theory and the “oligarchical principle” which underlies the agendas of eugenics, the Nanny State and the environmental movement. Craig debunks claims that the planet faces a catastrophe as a result of Malthusian population growth and steps us through some alternative theories of macro evolution which posit a creative principle in the universe in contrast to the purely random “blind watch maker” idea which is prevalent in mainstream biology.

Leonard Clampett,

the video you linked is a really old conglomerate of all sorts of claims that have been debunked ad nauseam.

What do you think is the ultimate proof for the existence of chemtrails?

Why should we have to assume there is such a thing like chemtrails? How are they different from contrails?

If you open the link you will see the reference to chemtrail area forecasts. The other link I wish to post is refused by the “Truth news” which claims it may be SPAM and “will be moderated”, probably because it mentions chemtrails in the link. However, I will try again by separating the words. http://www.chemtrail forecast.com/main.html

Leonard Clampett,

about the link you posted - where is the relevance in the discussion about persistent contrails?

Leonard Clampett,

after you consistently refused to accept the fact that fuel combustion generates more water than the equivalent of fuel burnt - even when a Qantas pilot confirmed this - I am highly skeptical of your “aviation life experience”. I hope you understand that.

So there are more explanations needed before your claims can be taken seriously.

1. How did you determine that the ambient conditions at the upper troposphere were not conducive to the formation of contrails this summer?

2. How did you determine the causal connection between trails and lack of rain?

3. How did you determine the altitude of the low trail that you saw? How can you be sure it was below the cumulus? Why not above (remember: 3D viewing up to 160m max)? Any pictures maybe?

If you want to do REAL research on the Internet, I strongly suggest to repeat every search query that you issue with the word “debunked” appended. That is the way to do proper research because you see both sides and their arguments. Don’t just fall for sensational claims.

Unfortunately, the Internet is loaded with bunk.

From the entry 'Contrails dissipate quickly whereas chemtrails linger?'.

Josh Anonymous,

You apparently do not do much research. Notice how, over the Eastern Australian summer, there have been many chemtrails coincident with usual weather patterns where obvious rain should have been the outcome had the chemtrails not been laid, and it was not, and this during the season when ambient conditions are not conducive to the formation of contrails. Chemtrails are entirely different to what you term “persistent contrails” as you would know if you had sufficient aviation life experience. You may try to explain how there was recently, and I have observed the same many times before, a chemtrail below a layer of fair weather Cu at 8,000 ft and how this could possibly occur without the laws of physics and thermodynamics being turned on their head. I suggest that you do an Internet search for the activities of Bill Gates and geoengineering.
