Interview with Jan Irvin

Jan Irvin is the author of The Holy Mushroom: Evidence of Mushrooms in Judeo-Christianity, host of the podcast show Gnostic Media, and webmaster of Trivium Education, a website which teaches the ancient arts of Aristotelian Logic, and Classical Rhetoric.
General Grammar, Aristotelian Logic, and Classical Rhetoric comprise the first three rules-based subjects of the 7 Liberal Arts and Sciences. As these disciplines are learned and practiced together, they form the overarching, symbiotic system for establishing clarity and consistency of personal thought called the Trivium.
General Grammar
(Answers the question of the Who, What, Where, and the When of a subject.) Discovering and ordering facts of reality comprises basic, systematic Knowledge
Formal Logic
(Answers the Why of a subject.) Developing the faculty of reason in establishing valid [i.e., non-contradictory] relationships among facts, systematic Understanding
Classical Rhetoric
(Provides the How of a subject.) Applying knowledge and understanding expressively comprises Wisdom or, in other words, it is systematically useable knowledge and understanding
In the 2nd hour of today's show, Chris Tolland interviews Irvin on his research and insights in many subjects.
In the first hour of today's show Chris joins us for a relaxed discussion on life, the economy and politics in Australia.
I hope you enjoy the show!

Hi Hereward,
Thanks for your work love what you are doing. I am in my late 50s and have spent all my life into a system that never really sat well with me but family commitments etc you just batten down and be as ethical as you can be in a corrupt liberty stealing system.
It seems to me that we are all beneficiaries and victims of this system and have been for as long as our HIS story. The trouble with this is while we are in the system we have no redress because the system belongs to them not us. The responsibility is on us to take responsibility for ourselves and others. How do we do that? Think outside the box there are solutions, but we need to be couragous and it will only take a few to live the life by example and the it will spread so that we can truly be free unique beings, instead of the drones we have become, suppressed since our birth.
We cannot protest peacefully or otherwise they won’t listen you see we still need the system so we beg them to stop but it is their system so they choose if they comply with our request or not.
Please interview Arthur Cristian of loveforlife he has some unique insights and solutions and I am sure you and your listeners would love to hear his positive message of solution even though it may be confronting.
For humanities freedom

Grey urban wasteland ? Yes it has a lot of work needed but certainly nothing like the picture you paint. Sydney is full of people and they are what defines a city. Prison like ? Compared to most cities we are doing OK. We’re in paradise by comparison.
Yes I admit there has been a gradual degradation in our quality of life and we must be vigilant and STOP the global cabal from stripping away more rights and more value from our currency but don’t talk it down to an unrealistic level. Honestly you make Sydney sound like Calcutta, do you prepare what you’re going to say or just make it up as you go because honestly Hereward that’s how it comes across.
Maybe it’s me, I’ve always looked for the good, the positive aspects of what I see which keeps one on an even keel even though I’m aware of the bad. Searching for the negative and ignoring the positive is the key to disaster, you’ll become frozen by depression and will be unable to deal with anything.

“do you prepare what you’re going to say or just make it up as you go because honestly Hereward that’s how it comes across”
A pretty harsh judgement there Frank, from somebody who “has always looked for the good and positive aspects” of what he sees.
I think you need to take a look in the mirror before casting nasturtiums at others.

Good week of radio. I always wondered why I struggled with maths at school and now I know. The whole education system is dumbed-down. I didn’t know that Rockefeller said he wanted a lot of workers but not a lot of thinkers.
And yes, with the first hour about the quality of life in Sydney… etc we’ve got to question that for the whole country too. There could be foot shortages, but yet we let the Chinese buy our farms! That makes a lot of sense! So yes, definitely things are going way downhill in this country. But this is happening in America and even Barack Obama had the wisdom to turn reject the proposal of a Chinese owned windmill farm near a naval facility!
Anyway, your show gave me a lot to think about the education system and I did not know you could not barter beyond $10000 in Australia. Thanks guys!

Many Australian made food products are cheaper on New Zealand supermarket shelves. Presumably because we are good at being ripped-off.
